When the Japanese 150 yen = 1.65 Philippine Peso

I stumbled upon an old Reader's Digest magazine dated December 1963. Our Philippine Peso was strong then. Imagine 1.65 Php versus 150 Yen.  If you are going to compute for today 150 yen is almost 75 Pesos now. What had happened, too much depreciation of our monetary value.

Today is the Philippine Election day. I am proud to say I did my part voting the candidate I believe in. Although my candidate is not soaring high in surveys I  still decided to vote for him.

Crossing my fingers and hoping to God I pray those who will ever going to inherit the seat of government may try to make a difference. Let the pockets of the Filipino people be filled with wealth and their mouths satisfied from hunger. I hope this time It will not be the pockets of the few and mighty I hope they will try to run a different story.
